Grenville Park is located at 73 Church Street. It is a 100+ acre multipurpose park which abuts the Ware River. This park was donated to the Town of Ware in 1923 by Mr. and Mrs. Grenville Gilbert in the memory of their late son, Grenville Gilbert, Jr. The park hours are from dawn to dusk. Within its boundaries are:
2 Little League baseball diamonds
1 multi-purpose field: soccer, football, t-ball, etc.
1 Bandstand for music, Movies in the Park, fireworks, etc.
1 boat ramp
2 handicap fishing piers
1 pavilion for picnics
6 picnic areas
1 steel-framed playground area including swings, slides, etc.
1 regulation-sized basketball court
2 miles of oil/stone roadway
Multiple walking trails leading through 80+ acres of woods and along the Ware River
Winter walking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and sliding
Opportunities for bird-watching and wildlife viewing
